What is Radiesse®?

Radiesse® is an FDA-approved soft tissue filler that provides structure and support for the skin through its calcium-based microspheres and gel. Not only does it fill creases or depressions in the cheeks and lessen facial fine lines or wrinkles around your mouth, chin, and nose, but the patented product stimulates your own collagen production for longer-lasting results.

  • Radiesse®: Provides an instant lift by restoring lost volume in areas of the lower face, effectively treating moderate to severe wrinkles and folds. It continues to work with your body, stimulating the natural production of collagen for a more refreshed appearance that can last up to a year or more in many patients.

  • Radiesse® (+): Offers the same result as Radiesse®. Radiesse® (+) contains lidocaine for added comfort during injections.

  • Belotero Balance®: Injectable gel that is used to smooth out and fill in moderate-to-severe nasolabial folds as well as other moderate-to-severe etched-in lines and wrinkles around your lips and mouth.

Hand Rejuvenation

Jean Chapman, M.D. uses Radiesse® to smooth and replace lost volume in the back of the hands. As we age, the skin on our hands becomes thin and less pliable allowing unsightly veins and ligaments to look “rippled.” The plumping power works perfectly to fill loose hand skin and hide vein discoloration for a more youthful appearance. It is the ONLY FDA approved filler for hand rejuvenation on the market today and is becoming quite popular.

How Does it Work?

The calcium-based microspheres and gel of Radiesse® add volume and strength to your skin as well as stimulate the growth of your own natural collagen. While your body will eventually absorb the Radiesse®, the new collagen production that Radiesse® generated will last much longer, keeping your face looking youthful and vibrant. Dr. Chapman can perform the procedure in twenty minutes with results that last for a year or longer.

Aftercare

Radiesse® requires little to no downtime with most patients able to return to their daily activities immediately following the procedure. Common side effects include those usually associated with injections such as slight pain, tenderness, redness, swelling, bruising, firmness, and bumps around the injection site.

Each patient is unique; therefore, results may vary.
